There a new software update hitting Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 today. Yes! And so everyone might have thought that this is the long awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. No and not yet! Verizon has posted the build number I605VRUAND3 or JSS15J.I605VRUAND3 and no indication of any 4.4.2 KitKat but the build number can tell that it still based on 4.3 Jelly Bean. The I605VRUAND3 4.3 update bring only one feature and has nothing more to offer. The update will allow users to enjoy a network roaming to the Canadian carrier Telus. This is a very big help for those travelers from U.S. to Canada. Verizon subscribers will now enjoy bringing their Galaxy Note 2 in Canada without losing the network connection as it will just automatically hop to Telus network while inside the Canadian territory.
Here goes the I605VRUAND3 changelog:
Nothing more but only allows roaming to Canada (Telus) network. Sounds awesome, but it much been cooler if the update also include an international roaming that will work in Europe and any parts of the world. A feature like this I’m sure there is no need for unlocking the device first just to work with other network and inserting SIM cards. So better check the update for now as it goes live via over the air (OTA update). The stock firmware can be also found here for those who have a rooted and modified Galaxy Note 3 SCH-i605 and wants to install this official 4.3 update I605VRUAND3.
