The 4.4.2 KitKat update has finally started for T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 3. The software build number is being dubbed as ‘N900TUVUCNB4‘ and brings the long-awaited KitKat goodies. Most features of the update are already found on Sprint Galaxy Note 3 and US Cellular Galaxy Note 3 4.4.2 KitKat update that has been ahead some few days ago. The first noticeable features of the KitKat update are the new camera shortcut in the lock screen and the restyled status bar icons, but there are also other numerous enhancements which can be found in Users Interface (UI), including the new lock screen access to select a default application for sending and receiving SMS text messages. The ‘Media Controls’ is also addressed from the 4.4.2 KitKat changelog to enjoy a full-screen album art and media controls when listening to music but there Art support has not yet to be found on this update.

This update can now be downloaded via over-the-air, just simply hit that Settings>> About Device>> Check for update. The KitKat software update file is 495.7MB to download according to the details and may take several minutes upon downloading and installations. As usually happens, OTA update rolled out are in waves and not everyone can receive an update at the same time just to avoid clogging the firmware server.
