Sprint Galaxy S4 4.3 OTA Update from MJA to MK2 Fixes Sleep Mode Problem

Sprint has released another Android 4.3 OTA update on Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720) that comes in build numbers L720VPUEMK2. The MK2 is an enhancements and fixes software update which technically resolves the sleep mode problem concerning the earlier 4.3 released build L720VPUEMJA, according to Sprint’s given changelog  When we  get into the deeper look of the MK2, we found out some patch files for Android  framework and system apps.

This update is around 26MB in size to download via OTA (over-the-air).  So better head-over to your phone’s Settings>>About Device>>Check for Software Update.


Here’s the stock OTA update 4.3 from MJA to MK2 download link for those who knows how to manually install it via stock recovery.

  1. So glad you shared this! My S4 was stuck on the OTA Rebooting now message. Since manually applying I’ve been able to install Android 4.4.
