Samsung Galaxy Gear First Firmware Update to V700XXUAMJ8, Stability Improvements

The Samsung Galaxy Gear (SM-V700) receives its first official firmware update to build version numbers V700XXUAMJ8 from the initial release or shipped firmware V700XXUAMII. The MJ8 update is still bundled on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and we have seen this update taking place in United Kingdom for now, and might also available for other countries soon. Even though, there are no official announcement held by Samsung as they usually does, but we believe that this update brings more improvements and system stability, and might also had something to do with the latest Samsung devices that has been added-up to support the Galaxy Gear functionality.  When the Galaxy Gear was launched only the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has the capability to support it, but now with the latest Android 4.3 update that recently rolled out on Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy S4, we have seen that  the Samsung Galaxy Gear support has been included. Samsung also confirms the Galaxy Gear support will also coming to Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy Mega 5.8, Galaxy Mega 6.3, and Galaxy S4 Zoom when these devices gets their Android 4.3 update soon.

The MJ8 update is only available in UK for now, all other countries must keep an eye of this update until  it arrives in your areas, the rolled out is in stages and only select countries will get it first.  It may take a couple of days even up-to months until everyone gets an update, so you must be patient.Samsung Galaxy Gear software update
