Root N8013UEUCMC2 Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update

Here’s a working root methods on how to root the United States version of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 WiFi GT-N8013 that has been upgraded to the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update such as “N8013UEUCMC2” firmware version as of March 2013. This rooting procedure has been proven worked from previous 4.1.2 Jelly Bean releases such as N8013UEUCMB3 and N8013UEUCMA3. There are two working root methods below, so just check it out and choose one you desire or you are already being familiar with.

Again, this rooting process only works for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8013 WiFi devices currently running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and should not be used on other Samsung Android devices.

You can check your device firmware details via Settings>> About device>> Software Info.
Check if it’ll match the following Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware build versions;

Method 1: Root U.S Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 WiFi using CF-AUTO Root

Using CF-AUTO Root on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is too easy for beginners, this rooting process does not requires custom recovery to install and it usually retain the stock recovery once installed. That means your device runs closer to factory stock and can receive future firmware updates.
Download the following files:
CF-Root for Galaxy Note 10.1  N8013 download
Grab odin flasher tool Download
Install USB driver Download

  • Make sure the battery is fully charge.
  • Make a back-up copy of all important files stored from the device such as contacts, messages, photos videos etc. just to be safe.
  • Enable USB debugging mode of your Galaxy Note 10.1 Go to Settings>Application>Development>Turn On USB debugging mode.

1) Unzip or extract the downloaded ( Then you will get the ( which now a Odin flashable file.
2) Run Odin Odin3 v3.07.exe or v1.85.exe in your computer

3) In Odin options, make sure the “Re-Partition is unchecked. Leave Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are checked.

4) Reboot the Galaxy Note 10.1 into download. To enter Download Mode – Turn it OFF then just “press and Hold the Volume Down button and Power button”. Simply press volume up to continue, once the warning screen appears.

5) Connect your Galaxy Note 10.1 to the computer via USB cable. You should see that Odin will highlight the ID:COM bar and it says “Added!!”. If Odin doesn’t respond while plugging-in the device, just check for possible issues like re-installing the USB driver and or checking the USB cable.

6) Click the PDA Button,then browse and select the “″ file to load it.

7) Simply Hit the START button to begin the root process.

8)  Wait until it finishes and or until a word “PASS!” displays in Odin and then let the device completely reboots.

9) Then unplugged the phone from the computer.

Method 2: Root Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 WiFi using CWM Recovery and SuperSU

This method requires a custom recovery such as CWM Recovery, once the CWM recovery installed you can then manually flash the SuperSU root files  unto it.  The CWM recovery functions is useful on most cases like making a back-up from your device stuffs, installing ROMs etc.

Download following needed files:
CWM Touch Recovery  Download (It’s actually N8000 but will also works for N8013, from XDA-developers)
SuperSU 1.04 download

1) Copy the on your device SD card.

2) Flash the CWM recovery via Odin, use the same process as above installation of the CF-Auto Root in Odin.

3) After the CWM recovery installed reboot the device onto recovery options.

4) Press and hold Power and Volume Up Button. It will then turns off and reboot,

5) Once the Galaxy Note 10.1 screen logo appears, release the On/Off Button and hold Volume Up,

6) Scroll down to “install zip from sd-card” option,

7) Choose zip from sd-card and navigate to the folder where you placed the,

8) Select “YES” to install,
9) Select “Go back”” and Reboot system,

Once finishes, you should then see that your device is rooted with SuperSU.
