HMD Global the company that now owns the rights to the Nokia brand has just started rolling out the Nokia 6 Android 7.1.1 Nougat update.
The Nokia 6 originally launched running with Android version 7.0 Nougat. So it’s quite surprising that HMD Global has started shaking everyone’s attention hoping to take back Nokia fans around the world.
A Nokia C6 owner from Hong Kong posted a screenshoot on Twitter showing that his device has received the said Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. The update comes out as software version 00CN_3_170 and it weighs at 616MB. Along with the update is the April 1, 2017 Android security patches and the enhanced power saving and background management features. It also adds support for 4G/3G dual SIM dual standby, an updated version of the Nokia USB driver, and several pre-loaded applications.
The Nokia 6 is a dual SIM smartphone and sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display wrapped in 2.5D Gorilla Glass. This smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC alongside 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
