If you are satisfied with your current 4.4.2 update to your Moto G and you don’t plan to wait for another one, well, I’ve got news for you. Motorola is already rolling out to all carriers Android 4.4.4 update to the Moto G which brings with it unlocked offerings that will leave you already eager to update.
The 4.4.4 update includes the Koodo, Telus, Virgin, Videotron, Wind and Public Mobile versions, as well as the unlocked version which can be found in retail stores. Google has found, after releasing the first few versions of Kitkat, a number of bug fixes improvements that are displayed in full view, particularly the cumulative updates that include 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 which focus on fixing security concerns in OpenSSL. It serves as a chain reaction since the fixing boosts power management specifically, on the camera performance of Moto G. Not only that, the update also provides support for Motorola’s new emergency contact app, the Motorola Alert, and the capacity to pause while video recording, as well as an updated phone dialer app that Google included to the Nexus 5 in Android 4.4.3.
It goes the same for the Moto G LTE users, as Motorola says the same update for the said carriers, available on Rogers and Fido, and is at present in testing and will be released soon.
If getting the featured update will make you feel any better, simply navigate to Settings>About Phone>Software update and the update will come shortly after.
