Samsung has just started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Canadian Galaxy S4 variants on both (I337M) and (M919V) models. Bell, Rogers and Telus Galaxy S4 I337 will received the 4.4.2 KitKat firmware build I337MVLUFNC1 while other carriers such Wind and Videotron Galaxy S4’s will get the firmware build M919VVLUFNB5. The Kitkat update now live at Samsung firmware server, and might be rolled out in phases and might also depends to each carrier scheduled days. This will replaced the old firmware build 4.3 I337MVLUEMK6 for Galaxy S4 I337M. While the M919V variants replaces the previous firmware build 4.3 M919VVLUEMK5.
Folks at XDA-Developers has been enjoying the KitKat firmware update that was leaked ahead of the scheduled release date and it shows the exact firmware build version.
The 4.4.2 KitKat has already began rolling out worldwide on January, in the U.S still some carriers hasn’t pushed it yet. So, it’s nice to have an update ahead from everyone, so better check it out now. To check if this firmware is already available in your locations you may now head-over to your device Settings > General > About device > Software update.
