Samsung Galaxy S4 4.3 Jelly bean update

I545VRUEMJ7 Verizon Galaxy S4 Official Android 4.3 Update With Galaxy Gear Support

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 (SCH-I545) official Android 4.3 update to build version I545VRUEMJ7 is being pushed and being dubbed as Software Update 3 (SU3) as the Android OS version will now bumped-up to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, according to Samsung’s official announcement. The 4.3 update will now brings the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch support that has been promised by Samsung earlier that it has to be added on the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 2.

The best part of this update as I can see is the Samsung Galaxy Gear functionality support, but again you must purchased the new Galaxy Gear smartwatch to enjoy this feature.  The KNOX is the new security platform introduced by Samsung, this now the most robust security suite you are about to experience on your Galaxy S4. Some few downside of KNOX is that it prevents owners engaging into personal customization outside Samsung’s official range. What I mean is that, if you are the kind of  biggest fans of any custom ROMs, including root kernels and any unsigned firmware, you have now a limited access to perform such things. So take a deep look around how KNOX truly works.

Here are the details of the I545VRUEMJ7 Android 4.3 Update as official changelog indicated the following features;

SCH-I545 Verizon Galaxy S4 4.3 update

  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Operating System
  • Samsung Galaxy Gear Support – (you may need to buy the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch to enjoy this feature)
  • Band 4 enable (connectivity
  • Group Play 2.5 (also originated from Galaxy Note 3)
  • Samsung KNOX support (it trips KNOX Warranty Void flag once you installed any unsigned system images)

The I545VRUEMJ7 Android 4.3 update has not yet confirmed by Verizon that are going to roll out  to all Galaxy S4 owners either starting today, but Samsung has already stated that the released date will begin on October 28, 2013 but there is no word from Verizon side for now.  Maybe you should keep an eye of it, and be the first lucky owner of the Galaxy S4 to received this 4.3 update. You may also look for the Odin flashable stock firmware here for manual flashing.
