Galaxy Note 4 and Note edge Receives January Android Security Patch Updates

Another round of Android Security updates for those who still rocking the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note edge. Earlier this week, Samsung has started rolling out an update on both devices to which contains the January 2017 Security patches. The Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F owners in Europe recently received an update to build version N910FXXS1DQA1. While on the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note edge SM-N915F has jumped to version N915FXXS1DQA1 and the SM-N915FY also moved to N915FYXXS1DQA2.

In addition, there were also some different version is heading on a specific countries. The below list shows you each build version.

Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F

  • N910FXXS1DQA1 – Europe
  • N910FXXS1DQA2 – Europe
  • N910FXXU1DQA3 – Europe

Galaxy Note edge SM-N915F

  • N915FXXS1DQA1 – Europe
  • N915FXXS1DQA3 – Middle East
  • N915FXXS1DQA5 – Southeast Asia

Galaxy Note edge SM-N915FY

  • N915FYXXS1DQA1 – Europe
  • N915FYXXS1DQA2 – Europe

So if you’ve got the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or a Galaxy Note edge you may check the update if you haven’t received the notification message yet.  All you need to do is head on your device update menu, from Home screen > tap Apps > tap Check for updates. The release usually take in stages and may run into several days to arrive in certain areas. If you did not see an update, just keep eyeing out of it or give a day or two.
