Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 WiFi versions Gt-N5110 has been started getting the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade. The first 4.4.2 Kit Kat upgrade firmware dubbed as build number N5110XXDNE1 has seen rolling out in United Kingdom few days ago, then follows in Russia and recently reached in Canada. Among other Galaxy Note 8.0 versions such as the 3G/WiFi GT-N5100 and the LTE GT-N5120 has no signs of the KitKat upgrade until now. As Samsung rolls out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update gradually, the update for other countries might takes to several days to arrive.
Kitkat update brings several changes to the Galaxy Note 8.0 user’s interface, as it includes some features like the new camera shortcut icon in the lock screen, the status bar icons will changes to color white, it also add Emoji’s in the keyboard, and cloud printing supports. There is also a new security apps called KNOX, and a lot more system improvements and enhancements.
The update now can be seen via Kies or via OTA update, you only need a strong WiFi connection then simply hit your Galaxy Note 8.0 through Settings>>About Device>> Then check for software update. If you prepare updating through Kies, all you need is grab Kies from Samsung’s page then simply connect your Galaxy Note 8.0 to your computer then fire-up Kies software update option.
