In response to the prepaid business decline in Q2, TELUS releases its Alcatel OneTouch Pop Icon, now available on Prepaid for $150. Other lineups include Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ and Pop 8 to be released not later than this month.
TELUS is giving customers a chance to grab Alcatel OneTouch Pop Icon, having boasted that the said device is “perfect for feature phone users looking to switch to a smartphone.” The Pop Icon runs KitKat, tailored in a 5-inch display, 5MP camera, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, along with a 2000 mAh battery. It can be priced similar with that of Moto G and has specs as good as the latter.
Based also in Q2 results of TELUS, the total wireless subscriber base rose to 7,876,000. Will the Pop Icon do any better to hasten the elevating pace?
