Sprint Galaxy S III L710VPUCNJ2 4.4.2 OTA Update

OTA Update L710VPUCNJ2 — Sprint Galaxy S3 new Android 4.4.2 software update has rolled out.  The L710VPUCNJ2 update are about to add two significant features such as the “HD voice icon” support and Google security patches. The “HD Voice Icon” adds improvement to the sound quality while the Google security patches is more-over for user’s stored data protection.

The L710VPUCNJ2 is the second Android 4.4.2 ever released on Sprint Galaxy S III next to the previous build version L710VPUDND8.  Though maybe someone might have been expecting an Android 5.0 Lollipop update on Galaxy S3, that could not possibly happen anymore as the latter has been on the market for over two years and there’s a big issues regarding its hardware capabilities while handling the new Android 5.0 Lollipop.

This a minor OTA update, but Sprint did not mention how large the file size is. It will only takes up a few minutes to install and download the L710VPUCNJ2 update.  The update is now available over-the-air  ‘OTA update’  but might be released in stages and gradually available in certain areas.  Just make sure to recharge your phone first, and your Sprint Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710) still runs on official Android 4.4.2 L710VPUDND8 prior to receive the L710VPUCNJ2 update.

It should not have been rooted, modified or equipped with custom recovery to get the update without any hiccups or you might only end-up into ‘update failed’ issues and a possible soft-bricks. Then just simply head-over to your phone Settings>>About device>>Check for update.
