US Cellular Galaxy S4 Receives New 4.4.2 KitKat Update to Build R970TYUFNF6

US Cellular released new Android 4.4.2 update that brings the phone Android system build version R970TYUFNF6. This is the third time around US Cellular Galaxy S4 devices receives the 4.4.2 KitKat software updates from previous 4.4.2 R970TYUFND1 and R970TYUFNAE .   There are no any other addressed keynotes about the latter’s update but this might add some bug-fixes, security enhancements and improved stability. As we have seen on 4.4.2 updates it includes user interface in addition to all the features that are introduced by Google.

The first 4.4.2 KitKat update brings the new phone dialer, Hangouts SMS integration, wireless print integration, new gesture recognition keyboard that has better Emoji integration and a new voice recognition system that allows you to access Google Now by just saying, “OK Google”.


Phone Dialer – The new phone app automatically prioritizes your contacts based on the people you talk to the most. You can also search for nearby places and businesses, your contacts, or people in your Google Apps domain.

Camera – Enhanced the “touch to focus” option with a new circular, on screen control that can be dragged by your finger around the viewfinder to adjust a photo’s focus and exposure.
Hangouts With the new Hangouts app, all of your SMS and MMS messages are together in the same app, alongside your other conversations and video calls.

Just say “Ok Google” – You don’t need to touch the screen to get things done. When on your home screen* or in Google Now, just say “Ok Google” to launch voice search, send a text, get directions or even play a song.

Emoji – everywhere Sometimes words can’t express how you feel. For that, there’s Emoji, the colorful Japanese characters, now available on Google Keyboard.

So better check head-over to your device Settings>>About Device>>Software Update. You may also manually check the update via Samsung Kies. If  your device already received the update just let us know how it goes and performs.
