AT&T’s Galaxy S3 (SGH-I747) official Android 4.3 update has finally arrived. Samsung has just announced that the new 4.3 upgrade firmware that has just announced will come in the form of build number I747UCUEMJB. It is now confirmed that it also include the two main features of Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) – the Galaxy Gear support and the KNOX security suite but there also lots of major enhancements and some new applications improvements, as we have  expected and also we’ve already seen it from previous 4.3 leaked. We’ve thought the AT&T will be first one to launched the 4.3 upgrade on Samsung Galaxy S3 among all other carrier in the U.S., but anyway its only just a couple of hours left-behind from T-Mobile’s Galaxy S3 4.3 release yesterday.

The official changelog addressed by Samsung are as follows;

  • Android 4.3 OS upgrade
  • Samsung Galaxy Gear compatibility
  • Group Play 2.5
  • Group Messaging
  • Knox for Enterprise
  • Samsung Apps
  • Samsung Hub (replaces Media and Music Hubs)
  • Samsung Link (replaces AllShare Play)
  • Usage Manager (Data Manager)
  • Sound and Shot Camera Mode
  • Gamepad support
  • Drag and drop to uninstall or disable applications
  • Notification Bar Enhancements
  • Call reliability improvements

Some important note you might consider if you are too weary enough about your device warranty. The 4.3 update is now equipped with KNOX application and there is a new counter hidden in download mode (press volume+home+power button) that says “Warranty Bit: 0″. This is a case-sensitive counter, if you are a big fan of custom recovery, ROMs and root kernels, you should refrain from installing any unofficial or unsigned firmware to your device unless if the warranty is still intact.  If you do so, the KNOX counter will then set to ‘1’  once being tripped caused warranty void red-flag. This cannot be reset back to normal and there is no other method from doing so and your remaining months of service warranty will be gone  for good.  Do not also downgrade from previous or lower Android firmware builds like 4.1.2 or 4.2.2, some users had informed us that this will also results into soft-bricks.

We’ve also asked some of our trusted fellas over at XDA-developers to retrieve the Odin stock MJB or the OTA update recovery flashable files to be available for future use.  For those whoa re rooted, you can also manually update if you’re unable to get this firmware from OTA or Kies.  Just do share to everyone  how this 4.3 update performs on your Galaxy S3 I747.
