Get the root file and instructions at XDA-developer.
1. Download and install the necessary First you need USB driver for your PC or Laptop to connect your phone. So, grab the LG USB driver and install it on PC.
2.Turn the phone off, press the “volume down” and “power” key to boot, do not release the volume down key until the screen appears with a red triangle robot.
3 Insert the USB connected to the computer, use the “volume” down select “Apply update from ADB, press the power button to determine two lines of yellow text prompts.
4 Double-click ROOT.BAT.

Now, that you already have rooted v20A, you may proceed to install the latest version of ClockWorkMod Recovery – CWM 22.214.171.124.
Tested and confirmed that after “Unlocked” is shown in hidden phonemenu(dial 3845#*880#) using fastboot oem unlock, we got access to install boot.img and recovery from root shell in recovery or during regular bootup.
updated – now uses latest 126.96.36.199 + fixed adb usb in recovery when connecting to pc.
- unlock bootloader , if you got a EUR-xxx in Settings->about phoné->software version, otherwise it seems you cannot unlock your model.
(adb reboot-bootloader ; fastboot oem unlock -> enable unlock -> wait 30sec -> remove battery)
